Jack Purdy Ib Lit and Performance The Glass Menagerie is a play written by Tennessee williams in 1944. It’s about a single mother with two children who are struggling to make a living. The play is portrayed as memories from one of the main characters Tom about his life before when he was living with his mother Amanda and sister Laura. Tom is an everyday factory worker in that time who just wanted to have a little adventure in his life but felt like he never could because his mother was always bringing him down. His mother was always bringing him down because she needed him to support her and Laura. His obsession with adventure and the constant nagging of his mother is eventually what causes him to leave them. I chose to reenact a combination the scenes (act i scene iii), where Tom and Amanda are arguing and Laura is talking about her glass menagerie and how special it is. I chose these scenes because it really shows the relationships each...

for Sams Lit analysis I would give her a 4. This is because I felt that she could have talked a little more about the themes or symbols present in her scene. Then for her performance part, I would give her a 10. My reasoning for this is because I felt that she did a very good job of describing what she did to prepare, what she did to act better and she analyzed the lines from the scene. lastly, for her language portion, I would give her a 5. This is because she used very strong words for describing details in her paper and also because everything flowed really well. For Julias Lit analysis I would give her a 4. this Is because I would have liked if she talked more about what the themes meant to the story. Then her performance piece I would give her a 9. This is because I felt she could have gone more in depth about her performance. lastly, for her language portion, I would have given her a 5. My reasoning for this is beca...

self-eval literary analysis: The literary analysis contained good detail about the scene but I am still looking at quotes to add which I have found most of already just a couple more. It includes the themes of the scene and how they affected each character. then it includes symbols like the glass menagerie and explains what it means to the story. 3 Exploration of the chosen approach to the text: I have not finished this section of my paper yet, but I have written and also plan to write a good portion of my paper with this section. I plan to write about what methods I used to help me prepare for my scene and how they helped me. Next is how I moved and the tone I spoke with. 7 to 8 once I finish Use of language, structure: The structure of this paper made it flow very well. It provided good opening and ending sequences that help to lead into and start the next...
