Blog post --- What did you learn from this week's presentations that might be useful to you in preparing and rehearsing your scenes? Be specific and use your notes to write this post. 500 words. I learned a lot about how to become a better actor after listening to everyone's presentations and doing my own presentation.  I also learned how to become more comfortable with speaking in front of people.  Normally when I am doing a presentation in front of my class a talk really fast and end up finishing it to fast, but with this presentation that I did for this class, I felt more comfortable.  I feel like after studying Konstantin Stanislavski and the method he created for actors to become better actors it made me feel more comfortable.  Then also learning about other famous actors and directors and their methods of teaching actors to become better actors I have become a better actor and more comfortable with speaking in front of a crowd.   Some of these peo...
Discuss the scene, why it interests you, what character you'll play & why (& how it will challenge you as an actor), the importance of this scene in play & what literary analysis you hope to explore 300-500 words The Glass Menagerie was written by Tennessee William and is a play about a single mother named Amanda living with her daughter Laura who has a crippled leg which has caused her to become very socially awkward and her son Tom both Tom and Laura are in their twenties.  It takes place during the Great Depression which cause Tom and Amanda to have a very bad relationship in which they fight a lot.  One scene where this is clearly shown is the fight between Tom and Amanda about breaking Laura's glass in front of laura.  This scene is interesting because it really shows how much Tom and Amanda fight but it also shows how shy and awkward Laura is.  In this I will be playing laura because in class I dont really talk much and I’m pretty quiet which is s...

possible scenes

I would want to explore the relationship between Tom and Amanda.  This is because they fight so much throughout the play and it plays a big role in the play.  They have different points of viewing how each other lives the first scene I would use is their first fight scene because it was important in showing how tom feels about Amanda.   the second scene I could use is any major fight they had such as the one about how tom always goes to the "movies" at night.   The third scene I would use is their last fight.  This one was very important because it leads to tom leaving them.   the second idea I had is I would analyze Amanda and how much she talks and lives in the past the first scene would be the dinner because her and tom get into a fight because she won't stop talking
