Blog post --- What did you learn from this week's presentations that might be useful to you in preparing and rehearsing your scenes? Be specific and use your notes to write this post. 500 words.

I learned a lot about how to become a better actor after listening to everyone's presentations and doing my own presentation.  I also learned how to become more comfortable with speaking in front of people.  Normally when I am doing a presentation in front of my class a talk really fast and end up finishing it to fast, but with this presentation that I did for this class, I felt more comfortable.  I feel like after studying Konstantin Stanislavski and the method he created for actors to become better actors it made me feel more comfortable.  Then also learning about other famous actors and directors and their methods of teaching actors to become better actors I have become a better actor and more comfortable with speaking in front of a crowd.   Some of these people were Uta Hagen, Lee Strasberg, and Meyerhold they were only a couple of the people that I watched presentations about.

When I was working on my presentation about Konstantin Stanislavski I was studying his method for making actors become better and have more charisma when saying their lines.  This method was known as the Stanislavski Method.  Which was used for actors and non-actors to have more charisma when speaking in public.  It was created so that actors feelings in a drama would seem more realistic.  The method starts off with the actor creating a goal.  My goal was to make my presentation the best I could and to present it fluently.  The second part is the struggle to reach that goal.  The struggle I had was calming down and not becoming nervous during my play.  Which is why I normally present really fast, but I was able to calm myself down before I presented and I feel like I did better than I usually do with presentations on this one.  Then the last part of the method is fighting to reach the goal.  I did this by just telling myself I will do fine and I also thought about if I slow down then I will do better.  Which I feel really helped me because I am pretty sure that my presentation was long enough and made the time requirement of around ten minutes.

After doing my own presentation and watching and listening to other peoples about famous actors and directors and their methods of training I feel that they have benefited me a lot and will help me to do a better job with preparing for my scene.  They have helped me to not only become more comfortable with talking in front of people, but they have also helped me to show more emotion when I am acting.  They have also helped me with working on memorizing my lines for this scene and not just saying them but actually showing the emotion in each line.  Overall this assignment has benefited me greatly not only with acting but with just speaking with people in general.
