• Choose one passage from the novel you have studied that might be considered climactic. Show how you would stage this passage to convey the excitement of the original to the audience.
• Staging:
• the four gods should stand on either block or stairs (an elevated space) in order to show their higher status. On the other hand, Desiree should be on her knees, which shows that she is being manipulated by them. The four gods should be standing behind Desiree. All five characters should face the audience so that the audience can see their facial expression.
• Story line
• Desiree and mama go to visit the gods they are greeted by erzulie and desiree is told that she should go after daniel.  Erzulie and agwe start fighting. Papa ge comes up to desiree and she gets scared and runs away.

          

Costumes:

• Agwue in a bright blue robe.  Himself is translucent blue because he represents water.  
• Papa Ge would also be in a robe that is dark.  He has darkness surrounded by him. He has a black stick that he uses for
