1. Select a passage from a novel you have chosen to study where the appearance of a character in a specific setting raises unsettling questions for the reader. The scene from chapter 7 where Desiree goes with mama to go visit the gods. Then Desiree sees the goddess of love Erzulie. She tells Desiree that she is holding her to her vow she made to papa ge. Then the gods go to to say thet they need a romance in order to be saved. Then erzulie and agwe get into a fight. during the fight papa ge goes up to desiree and she runs away scared. If I was staging this I would put desiree kneeling in front of the gods. the gods are up on an elivated playform with an image of the peak of a mountain behind them. Then during the fight i have Erzulie and agwe come foward and start fighting. Then at the end Papa ge moves forward torward Desiree na dhse gets up and runs away.
