Discuss the first time Shakespeare introduces Romeo -- What is he doing? What is he saying? What do we learn about his character and personality? What is your first impression of him as a person? Do you like him, respect him, admire him, etc.? Do the same for Juliet. Compare them. Which do you like better?
The first time Shakespeare introduces Romeo, Romeo is talking to Benvolio. They were talking about how Romeo was sad. Then they go on to talk about why Romeo is sad. Which was because Romeo was in love with a women. He was sad because she will not love anyone. They said that she is "chaste. This conversation shows that Romeo's character falls in love fairly easily. He fell in love so easily, it was because she was as they say "fair" which means beautiful. It shows that he has a loving and caring personality. This also shows that he was easily persuaded and that he was emotional. My first impression of Romeo was that he was kinda soft, but also that he was caring and loving even if it was a girl that would never love him back. I felt that was a good person because of how much he cared for someone and how sad he was when she didn't love him back. I do not Particularly like or admire him but I do respect him. I do have respect him because he really cared about this girl and loved her and was heartbroken when she didn't love him. So I do have respect because I have never loved someone that much and don't know what something like that would feel like.
When Shakespeare introduces Juliet she is talking to the nurse who is like a best friend to her. The nurse just told her that her mother wanted her. Then she starts talking to her mother about if she would like Pais who was the cities leaders son. We learn that she is mostly loyal to her family. At least until she meets Romeo. My first impression of Juliet was that she has to be beautiful and that she was older than 13. She seemed as if she was more like 17 or 18 and she was very mature for her age which was why I thought that she was older. I don't really have a opinion for Juliet yes I respect her I have no reason not too. I don't not admire her or like her I just respect her.
